Former Webster County Supervisor Robert Hitt said getting to know the people of Webster County was “one of the best parts of the job.”

Hitt retired as Webster County’s District One Supervisor at the end of December 2015, after serving in the elected position for 12 years. During that time, he served one term as President of the Board of Supervisors. Prior to serving in his elected position, Hitt worked for the county for five years.

“I was a little surprised that so many people called to thank me for different jobs we did,” Hitt said. “There was much more positive feedback than negative.” Continue reading

On the cusp of several exciting developments, including the top 20 ranking of the Webster County School District, the creation of a tri-county economic development organization and the re-organization of Eupora Arts, Inc., the community seems to be making a few strides in the right direction.
