Starkville’s Observance of the National Day of Prayer set for May 7


NDP_2015Theme-Content_403x403_2.00While it is important to pray for the community and its leaders every day, Starkville’s Observance of the National Day of Prayer will be a special time for residents to come together as a group to pray for our community, our state and our nation.

Starkville’s observance of the National Day of Prayer is set for noon May 7 at the Starkville Sportsplex. The public is invited to attend.

As part of this year’s event, community leaders will share their personal testimony of the importance of prayer in eight key areas of every community, including government, military, business, media, family, church, education and healthcare. Continue reading

EMCC’s Miller to serve as one of the speakers for Starkville’s NDOP event May 7


miller1Dr. Paul Miller, vice-president of East Mississippi Community College — Mayhew campus, will be one of eight guest speakers participating in Starkville’s Observance of the National Day of Prayer.

The Starkville event will be at noon May 7 at the Starkville Sportsplex.  Dr. Miller will speak about the importance of prayer as it relates to education. He will lead the group in a prayer for students, educators, and the state of education on a local, state and national level as part of this year’s event.

Jackson to serve as one of the Starkville National Day of Prayer speakers


jackson_15thState Representative Gary Jackson  will serve as one of the speakers for Starkville’s Observance of the National Day of Prayer.

Starkville’s Observance of The National Day of Prayer is set for noon May 7 at the Starkville Sportsplex. The event is open to the public for a time of prayer for eight specific areas of the community. Jackson will speak about the importance of prayer for business leaders, sharing a bit of his personal testimony, and will lead a prayer for business leaders and their families in our community, state and nation.
