Janet Harper believes her community has more potential than ever

Becoming Supervisor of Montgomery County District 5 has been more fulfilling than Janet Harper could have ever imagined.

“I enjoy helping people and strongly believe the growth of Montgomery County has more potential than ever,” Harper said. “My mom, (the late) Annie Jean Campbell, influenced me a lot on becoming Supervisor by her willingness to learn and listen to the voters. Gifts of Love collection set for TONIGHT

1903253_727664747286103_1167183999_nLast month, your donations to Gifts of Love allowed the group to donate 15 blankets to the tornado victims in the  Louisville area.”Thanks to everyone who has given,” said Karen Collins of Gifts of Love. “You never know when something tragic will happen or when it may be you in need!”Collins will be at the Stewart Fire Department from 5-7 p.m. TONIGHT to collect blankets and toys for those in need.

According to the Mississippi Kids Count data for Webster County, 21.5 percent of the county’s population live below the poverty level, and of the population of people from ages 0-18, 32 percent live in poverty. Continue reading
