What a wonderful weekend to join First Baptist Church of Eupora for a variety of events that will celebrate that “Jesus is Alive!”
“It is our prayer that He (Jesus) lives in you,” said Rev. Travis Gray of First Baptist Church of Eupora. “If you do not know Jesus personally, we would love to share with you how you can.”
Weekend events begin with the Good Friday Service, set for noon March 25 in the church sanctuary. The community is invited to come and focus on the passion of the cross in preparation for the joy of the resurrection.
The Easter Sunday events begin at 7:30 a.m. with Sunrise Service on the front lawn (weather permitting), followed by Easter Fellowship Breakfast in the Family Life Center at 8:15 a.m. and Sunday School at 10 a.m. Sunday. Continue reading

“Christ’s words say ‘I love’ even when I don’t deserve it…His words say ‘I love you’ even when no one else loves you.”
“Do our words and actions say ‘I love you, Lord?’ Do our words say ‘Thank you Lord for what you have done for me? For dying on the cross for me?’ Do our words say, “Father forgive me because I recognize what I have done?'” Continue reading
This year’s Christmas Cantata, “Christmas Is Jesus,” at First Baptist Church of Eupora is “a reminder to all of us that Christmas really is about Jesus and only Jesus.”
“We get so caught up in the busyness of the holiday, the giving and receiving of gifts that we tend to lose sight of the fact that God gave to us the greatest gift, that of His Son,” Herring said. “He came to us when we were His enemies. He showed us love that we didn’t deserve through the gift of His Son.”
Christmas Is Jesus will be presented at 6 p.m. Dec. 21 at First Baptist Church of Eupora. The event is free and open to the public. Continue reading
