Gorgeous #FALLweather for a picnic

It is a GORGEOUS #Fall day and it occurred to me that after working at First Baptist Church of Eupora for a little over five years, that I have never enjoyed a picnic outside. Since I can’t drive myself and the shoulder for a few weeks, I am stranded here at lunch. Pepper bought a sandwich from Subway this morning, and for the first time in five years, I sat on the steps and enjoyed the sounds and sights and sun and wind of this Fall day. I was a little frazzled from too much activity this morning (it happens sometimes) so initially, I thought I would unplug, but I love taking a few photos and I couldn’t resist a few snaps of the roses and the architecture, the water falling and the wind whipping the flags. I hope y’all enjoy the short videos and photos of the sounds and sights of lunch today. I know it is silly, but I LOVED it! I hope you enjoy! Continue reading

Nicaraguan pastor visits FBC Eupora

His passion and his energy drew in the crowd at First Baptist Church of Eupora.

Mena is the pastor of the church in Nicaragua that the mission teams from FBC Eupora have worked with for the past two summers. Mena was visiting family in the United States and stopped by to pay a visit to meet the church family that has been such a big part of his ministry to the people of Nicaragua over the past two years.

“It was great to have Pastor Mena with us for the weekend,” said Rev. Travis Gray of FBC Eupora. “Although we speak different languages, his love for Jesus is still contagious.” Continue reading

Nicaragua Mission trip was a life-changing experience

“A trip like this completely changes your views on missions,” said Rev. Travis Gray of First Baptist Church of Eupora

Gray was one of a group from First Baptist Church of Eupora who traveled to Nicaragua this summer to help an up-and-coming church. It is Rev. John Herring’s hope that “everyone who comes will worship the Lord and recognize in a fresh way the sacrifice that Jesus made at Calvary.”
