Honoring the ministry of the Harper family at First UMC Eupora

cropped_7L2A0458First United Methodist Church of Eupora will celebrate the ministry of Rev. Trey Harper and his family on his final Sunday to worship as the pastor of the church.

The church will be hosting a farewell reception for the Harper Family on Sunday, June 15 from 4-6 p.m. in the church Fellowship Hall to give church members and the community an opportunity to say goodbye to the Harpers. The community is invited to come and offer its thanks and prayers for a happy transition to Forest. A “love offering” will be taken for those wishing to express their appreciation.

Rev. Harper has been re-appointed to First UMC of Forest and will begin preaching there June 22. Continue reading

First UMC honors Harper family Sunday

For First United Methodist Church of Eupora, it was heartbreaking to hear the news that their well-loved pastor of seven years, Rev. Trey Harper, and his family have been re-appointed to First UMC in Forest.

First United Methodist Church of Eupora will be hosting a farewell reception for the Harper Family on Sunday, June 15 from 4-6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall to give church members and the community an opportunity to say goodbye to the Harpers. Richter speaks about repentance at Lenten Lunch

Today concludes the Lenten Lunch series at Eupora’s First United Methodist Church. Richter said “we need to repent because we are broken people. And broken people break others. When we repent, God gives us peace. A heavy burden has been lifted. Repentance is a gift from God.”

Rev. Minor inspires at today’s Lenten Luncheon
