Dr. Boykin loves happy healthy pets

26af0f059a5b37469e48896537be39d7She always loved animals and in the fourth grade, she made the decision to become a veterinarian.

“I love the ability to be able to help people keep their pets be happy and healthy,” said Dr. Brandy Middleton Boykin, owner of Brandy’s Animal Care Center that opened in Eupora in August 2013. “I (have always) loved animals and felt the need to help them and nurture them.”

Dr. Boykin said attended Mississippi State University from August 2000 to April 2009 where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences in 2004 and a doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2009. She worked in Jackson for four years at a large veterinary clinic that had seven doctors and 20 technicians. While in Jackson, Boykin was on the local television news several times speaking about different veterinary topics. She has also been published in The Clarion Ledger and USA Today discussing how preventive care can prolong a pet’s life. Continue reading
