Gorgeous Christmas music for everyone

20161201101951_00001There will be a lot of familiar songs, performed in a variety of musical styles at this year’s Christmas Cantata at First Baptist Church of Eupora.

“This program is different in that it is strictly music without drama or narration,” said John Herring, minister of music and associate pastor at FBC Eupora. “What I love about this year’s cantata is the fact that it has all different styles of music. There really is something for everybody! The cantata is totally different from what we did last year. We used drama last year where this year is only music, no narration and no drama.”

Glory Divine will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 in the sanctuary of FBC Eupora. There are no tickets and the event is free to the public. There will be an open rehearsal at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 that will also be open for the public.

FBC Eupora Christmas Cantata set Dec. 21

080689358173_5This year’s Christmas Cantata, “Christmas Is Jesus,” at First Baptist Church of Eupora is “a reminder to all of us that Christmas really is about Jesus and only Jesus.”

He showed us love that we didn’t deserve through the gift of His Son.”

Christmas Is Jesus will be presented at 6 p.m. Dec. 21 at First Baptist Church of Eupora. The event is free and open to the public. Continue reading
