The band starts playing at 6:30 p.m. and the fun begins!

If I could ever duplicate my mom’s biscuits, Pepper and I may be featured on that show, My 600 lb. Life!
Much like all of my favorite dishes made by my mom, Betty Woods, I have a hard time making biscuits (and chocolate pie, and chicken dressing, and potato salad) just like hers. Like Nancy Latham said, there’s just something about mom’s biscuits!
And then there’s the biscuits at Cracker Barrel. After 17 years of marriage, I am just realizing that Pepper Sisson prefers grape jelly on his biscuits. I like strawberry. After all this time! My theory is, he should have spoken up sooner and he could have been enjoying biscuits with jelly! He wasn’t complaining too much, because he loves Cracker Barrel biscuits with gravy, just as much!
September is National Biscuit Month and what a WONDERFUL thing to celebrate! Dripping with butter or with some homemade pear preserves…YUM! I recently asked Facebook and Twitter friends and followers to share what they love about their favorite biscuits? And who makes their favorite biscuits? Continue reading
Bro. Barry Corbett said church renewal and individual discipleship growth will be the focus of his messages during a week of revival at First Baptist Church of Eupora.
Corbett will be the guest speaker for revival services set for Sept. 17-20 at FBC Eupora. On Sunday night, services will begin at 6 p.m. and Monday – Wednesday, services will begin at 7 p.m. Friends and neighbors throughout the community are welcome to attend.
“I pray that there will be a fresh strong desire individually to walk with our Lord Jesus faithfully,” Corbett said. “I pray that the church will recommit themselves to the full work which our Lord Jesus outlined in His Great Commission. I pray that the lost will be challenged with the gospel.”
Corbett asks the community to pray for him as he prepares for this special sermon series.
“I will be praying for FBC Eupora as God’s Spirit convicts and guides our time together,” Corbett said. “It is an honor to have this opportunity to preach His Word at the First Baptist Church of Eupora.” Continue reading

Her comedy show and testimony goal is to introduce someone to the eternal joy of knowing Jesus.”
Garret said this conference will be an opportunity for attendees to come together with their sisters in Christ, “to love Him more intimately, serve Him more passionately, worship Him more reverently, praise Him more joyfully and laugh more hysterically.” Continue reading
It started out with a psychotic chicken in a floppy ear hat and a pessimistic clown.
Then Andy Childress got sidetracked doing a comic strip about two idiot brothers working for their dad in the appliance repair called QUICK APPLIANCE REPAIR. It was a little too close to home because Andy and his brother were working for their dad in Childress Appliance Repair.
Childress created Herman the psychotic chicken by accident around 1983-ish and started using him in actual strips around 1989. And Bubba World Comix has grown from there.
But before chickens and clowns, there were bugs. Childress had been drawing from a very early age. When he was one, his mom said he wanted a pencil and paper and would love to draw. Continue reading
