April was a wild and wacky month – Dad’s birthday, Bible Drills, Holy Week/Easter, dance recital, Steel Magnolias, a new tv (thanks mom!) and shingles!
- Of the 729 visitors to the blog in April, my whining about my first shingles attack was the most read post of the month!
- At the very beginning of April, a trip to see my oncologist in Tupelo gave us some much needed good news! The new chemo medicine that I started in early March was working. After just four weeks, my tumor markers began at 54 and was reduced to 10. Very exciting and the second most read blog post in April!
- Our crazy trip to De Kalb, Miss. to experience a bit of the Sciple’s Mill Opry was the third most read post. It was pouring down rain, the phone GPS directions took us on an interesting dirt road instead of a nice paved road that was just a mile longer than “the shortest route available.” But once we found the place, it was so fun! It is a special way for musicians to perform for a crowd, and a good time for neighbors to visit, eat and enjoy the down home atmosphere. The adventure was part of an assignment for the May/June issue of Mississippi Magazine. Get your copy on newstands TODAY!
- Rounding out the top five were two posts I did to start back my #FRIDAYFOOD column for The Winona Times. Seems like there are a few others who are also interested in meal prepping! I would LOVE to be that organized! I am getting there, but consistancy is a struggle, when there are some days that it is everything in my power to get out of the recliner!
What a crazy month, but what INCREDIBLE blessings! #GODISGOOD
