I will be having the second of four Chemo Embolism treatments on Thursday in Tupelo. That means I will have a week of staying away from people over Christmas. BOOOOO! But Pepper is waiting on me hand-and-foot and I can watch all the Christmas movies I want! While I hate to miss Christmas, I am looking forward to another week of rest and relaxation! I will have regular chemo next week so those folks will be the only people I can be around during the holidays. That’s not too bad — there are a lot of sweet people at Hematology and Oncology in Starkville. And all of this hard work is working–my tumor markers went from 167 in October, 121 in November to 40 in December! Now it has to get under 2.5, but all of this hard work starting to pay off! So excited! Physical therapy is still AWFUL but it is working too! My range of motion has DRAMATICALLY improved over the past month and I am now writing without extreme pain! But I still have a least another six weeks of therapy. And Pepper has learned a new dance from my nine-year-old nephew, Eli, that they call “The Touchdown Dance.” LAWD! Help us all!
