So the physical therapy/chemotherapy combo weeks are crazy-making! The meds needed to get through pt make me like zombie, then chemo makes me sleepy! I am falling asleep everywhere in the afternoons!
Last week, my tumor markers were high, but has dropped 50 points as of yesterday. The one tumor near the entrance to the stomach has decreased a little bit, but there are five tumors in the other lobe of the liver–we knew about one, but now have four new ones. We are going to do chemo-embolism at the end of November and the end of December, taking one liver lobe at a time. I will still do regular chemo through March.
And to make things fun, my brother, Jeremy, has a torn ligament in his ankle and a boot. We look like we have been in a fight! We are finally in therapy together! Ha! (At Hometown Physical Therapy that is, but maybe we should consider the other–it has been a long year!!)
Pepper is running instead of dancing these days, but still singing. He is so determined to keep my spirits up!!! And so determined to sing Hee Haw songs! They were on the air for hundreds of years, apparently! Their songs are neverending! #GODISGOOD
gwen – so sorry to hear about this – and sending prayers your way – and sending a blog hug/smile
Thank you so much! It has been an interesting two years, but I have learned so much about cancer and the people dealing with it. And I have learned a lot about myself and my family and friends! I am #incrediblyblessed!
😊
