Please join us for Starkville’s Observance of the National Day of Prayer set for noon May 7 at the Starkville Sportsplex. This will be a special time for residents to come together as a group to pray for our community, our state and our nation.
As part of this year’s event, pastors and community leaders will share their personal testimonies of the importance of prayer in eight key areas of every community, including government, military, business, media, family, church, education and healthcare. We will join communities around the nation for a day of prayer and remembrance.
This year marks the 64th annual National Day of Prayer. The theme for 2015 is Lord, Hear Our Cry, emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to place their faith in the unfailing character of their Creator. The key scripture will be I Kings 8:28: “Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.”
