It is Memorial Day weekend, and it is so important to take time to remember the sacrifices made by those who have served in the military and their families.
At First Baptist Church of Eupora, we are remembering the service and sacrifices of our favorite military men and women who are no longer here to honor. FBC Eupora does not have a cemetery and does not have a more traditional Southern “memorial” service, so the Sunday before Memorial Day has been designated a time of remembrance on our “Wall of Honor.”
Flags have been placed on the “Wall of Honor” to remember: Dub Barnett, W.H. Bland, “Inkspot” Brown, John Oliver Cooper, Justin Cooper, Earl Pryor Doolittle, J.C. Herrod, Ralph Hodges, R.A. “Snook” Johnson, Lansing Lamb, Willis Morgan, Ed Morrow, Welty Oliver, William Rogers, Edwin Ross, Bill Seaborn, Russell Shaw, Edmond Shumpert, Glen Sturdivant, Jack Turner, O.L. Waits, John Walker and W.O. Wilson.
* There are many other servicemen who will be honored in the hearts of family members. These are the photos submitted by church members.
That is a special.
