WCBI-TV’s Michelle Lowe will be one of eight speakers at Starkville’s observance of the National Day of Prayer.
The event is set for noon May 1 at the Starkville Sportsplex and the public is invited to attend.
As part of this year’s event, community leaders will share their personal testimony of the importance of prayer in eight key areas of every community, including government, military, business, media, family, church, education and healthcare.
Additional speakers will include Starkville Mayor Parker Wiseman, Rev. Joseph Stone, Rev. Giles Lindley, Marvell Howard, Dr. Paul Miller, Dr. Paul Ruff and Sen. Gary Jackson.
Tom Jenkins, minister of music at First Baptist Church of Starkville, will provide special music for the event.
