Mayor Parker Wiseman, Rev. Joseph Stone, Sen. Gary Jackson, Michelle Lowe, Dr. Paul Miller and Dr. Paul Ruff will be among the speakers at this year’s National Day of Prayer observance in Starkville.
The event is set for noon May 1 at the Starkville Sportsplex. The public is invited to attend this year’s event.
The theme for 2014 is One Voice, United in Prayer, “emphasizing the need for individuals, corporately and individually, to place their faith in the unfailing character of their Creator, who is sovereign over all governments, authorities, and men.” To further highlight the theme, Romans 15:6 is the scripture for this year: “So that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Sounds like this is going to be a great event!!!
We had a wonderful time! It is always such a blessing to come together to pray and to hear local leaders share their personal testimony about the importance of prayer. We had such wonderful speakers this year! Everyone did an incredible job!
